March 2011 SOTM Blog Hop

March goes in like a Lion and comes out like a Bunny!. And this months SOTM is the cutest set of bunnies I've ever seen. It is called "Sensational Season" and it is a set of 10 stamps (D1454). It is only available for the month of March. Contact your consultant or click here to find out how to get if for a discount, or even free. So get ready to do the bunny HOP along with us. If you have come from Melissa Robinson's blog you are on the right path.

One of things I love about this set is that you can do other things, besides Easter (and since I do not celebrate Easter I am happy about that). I chose to do it as a celebration type card.

It is hard to tell in this picture, but I used dimensional adhesive to pop up the bunny. I used CTMH markers and I blended a darker color with the lighter one while still wet and I was able to get the shadowing, similar to the way I use copic markers. I used paper from "Wings" level 2 and "miracle" dimensional elements (they are so cool, they have a resist pattern on them so all you have to is ink them and voila!) I added some Mocha "opaques", 1 for the bunny's eye and the 3 others on top. I like how the bunny adds some whimsy to a more serious looking paper. I used sunkiss yellow, taffy, key lime, juniper, baby pink, tulip, garden green and olive markers. As soon as I finished colorin, I did a little shading and immediately blended with the base color. I am very happy with the way the shading came out. I also used the blender pen because I didn't have a gray marker so I picked up the ink form the cover of the ink pad to get the gray color of the bunny.

December SOTM Blog Hop

It is December already? Chanukah starts at sundown? OMG where did the year go. This months SOTM takes us to February ,D1445 "Amore" It is perfect for Valentines Day as well as any romantic occasion. So sit back, relax and click away to see some fabulous artwork using this versatile stamp set.

This month I used a pattern called "Just Right" from "Wishes" an idea book for cardmakers. I used a clear card Z1323 and Paper from "Olivia" level 2, colors include Smoothie, Pear, Sunset and Barn Red. I used a bunch of our newer embellishments (which I just love) the pearlie things are called Opaques and they are from the Mocha collection Z1333, Sparkles from the red pink and purple assortment Z1326 and "Shimmer" designer brads Z1349.

Since this is a clear card, some of the paper is on the inside and you can see through part of the card. This is the front, and the next picture is the inside.

I left the inside blank for now, since I am not sure what I am going to use it for yet. Now hop on over to Adeline's Blog and see what amazing creation she has in store for you. But before you go I have to tell about the December special...

November SOTM Blog hop

Welcome to our November Stamp of the month blog Hop. This month we have over 60 consultants participating in the hop, which is a circle, so you can start here and will eventually make it back here after clicking on the next consultant in each post. The stamp set is called" A Little Thanks" a set of 16 stamps that are great for thankyou cards as well as scrapbook pages.

In addition to this stamp set I used one of my new favorite sets D1438 "Circle of Love". I used paper from Magnifique Level 2 X7127B and chocolate textrued cardstock.

Below is a close up of the center image, which I embossed with silver pearl embossing powder and I then used a sponge and "Pacifica" ink to rub over the image so the image "pops". I also stamped on Twill ribbon and popped up the Give thanks flower with dimensional adhesive and used the smallest Pearl "Opaques" in the center. I distressed the Chocolate paper with a sanding block and inked the edges of the paper.

August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Wow, i can't believe it is August already (well almost anyway). Time sure does fly. Anyway. it is time for the new SOM hop and I just love this set. It is a base and shade flower which really makes this image a standout. It is called "Something Splendid". I used the paper pack "Splendor X7124B colors used are moonstruck, goldrush, topiary and sunflower. It is hard to see in the picture but I used dimensional adhesive to pop the flower. The card design is based on the card on the "Veranda" WOTG guide. I stamped the small branch stamp on the ribbon and finished it with a colonial white edge anchor.

swaps i made for convention

Well, our CTMH convention was here and gone and as always was so much fun. I love all the great ideas, the sneak peak at the new products, hanging with my CTMH sisters and of course swapping like crazy. I thought I'd share with you the swaps I made.

I used "Boom di ada" paper pack, B1306 "Cottage Floral" stamp set, D1284 "with Love" stamp set, "Dimensional Elements Perennials" Z1139 , and I inked with sponges, stubble tool and stipple brush from Z1298 distressing tools. I used the "wishes" idea book which has multiple card "workshop" ideas which made this quick and easy.

I used the same paper pack and the stamp set is one of my very favorites "Be Yourself" D1349 and "Glitz Stardust Glitter Glue Z1313 which was used on both projects. i just love glitter and this is nice and neat, no glitter all over me and the table and the floor etc.....

This design is from "Expressions" idea book and uses "Good times" paper pack. The stamp is retired from a travel set and I used it because it says "Washington DC" and that is where convention was.

I love swapping. I got so many lovely cards that I swapped for. I am planning an open house in September and will have all my swaps on display (as well as lots of new products and a sale table) Details will be posted soon.

I am looking forward to scrapping today with my sister and will complete the projects I made at convention and add pictures to the pages we made. I hope to post soon and give you at sneak peak at what is coming in September so stay tuned......

It is that time again, Another month, another great new stamp set and another blog hop. They are so much fun and there are so many ideas and great projects to see. So sit back, relax and hop along. We have too many consultants for me to count (i'm too tired from Memorial day Party) but my guess is at least 60. My fellow consultants are so creative I love to see what they came up with using this set of 9 stamps called "Wonderful Friend" (D1422). My card this month is based off of a design from "Wishes" (a CTMH idea book) called "Right Design" I used Barn Red textured card stock, B&T (patterned paper) from "Passages" level 2 paper pack. Ink is New England Ivy, bigger brad is Barn red (for the tie tack) and a metal "Foundry Bookplate" as well as buttercup sassy strands (retired).

Well, it is time to move on to my good friend Antoinette's blog. She is so talented and I can't wait to see her at convention. I am sure you will enjoy the rest of the hop.

May SOTM Card

OK, so it is a week later, I made the card but it was my boyfriends birthday card so I couldn't post it til after I gave it to him on Sunday. Then of course I forgot to take a picture of it. He took a picture for me but then I couldn't open it. Well, it is finally here. I hope you like it. It is definately more of a challenge to come up with masculine cards.

I used "You Rock" Level 2 paper pack and the stamps that came with the "You Rock" workshop on the go kit as well as an outdoor denim brad which came with the kit and the card design is on the WOTG guide.

I am vending at a crop tomorrow so time to finish this up so I can finish packing up.

This months SOTM is "Cherish The Moment" a set of 8 checklist style journaling type stamps. I just love this set. It is great for cards and scrapbook pages.

I am working on the album from my son's Bar Mitzvah and I thought this was perfect for the page I was doing.

I used paper from "Stardust" level 2 paper pack, versamark ink and gold embossing powder for the stamp. I marked the check off boxes with clear sparkles-I used the smallest ones. I really like this set. Check back later as I am planning to make a birthday card that I will post tomorrow.

I used the papers from "Twitterpated" paper pack. I actually used the workshop on the go (WOTG) guide card diagram with this stamp set. I love the guides and I use them as idea starters as well as our other idea books. the colors used are Crystal Blue, Sorbet, Sweet Leaf and Chocolate. I used the Blending Pen with our ink in the lid of the ink pad to color in the images. I also used "Basic Buttons","Chocolate ribbon", "Heartfelt Die cuts-wonder" for the leaf & 3d Foam tape to pop up the flowers as well as the piece that the flower pot is on. Here is a close up.

This is CTMH's new digital scrapbook program. Right now it is only available to consultants for product testing. I am having so much fun with it. I can't wait to get my prints. Meanwhile here are some layouts I made with it. If you click on the picture it will enlarge and you can see more detail.

The best part is that it took way less time then then doing it the traditional way. It is fun too.

November SOTM Blog Hop

This months SOTM is "Around The Block" A really cute set of 26 stamps in a House theme. I used paper's from "Twitterpated" Level 2 paper pack (X7118), Sorbet and Chocolate ink, Colonial White ribbon collection (the crocheted ribbon). It is hard to see in the picture but I used "liquid glass" on the windows in the house that I stamped. My title is stamped with "Field Trip"Alphabet (E1013) The layout is from "Imagine" called "Perfect Prelude"

October Stamp of the Month Blog hop

This is card design is from "Wishes" CTMH's newest idea book for cards. It is called matchbook. I used papers from the "Jingle" level 2 paper pack. Colors used are Juniper & Tulip. I used white photo clips with our new "Twinkle Brads Jolly Assortment" Tulip twinkle brads in the photo clips and dotting the I. I also used the connections club reward adhesive backed pearls. Happy Mother's day! And.....Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring May's SOTM, which is Be Yourself, a set of 14 stamps. This month we have 18 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

This is a 6 x 6 card from Cherish using the SOTM, "moon Doggie" level 2 paper pack, winter & fall soft chalks (technique is called chalk popping, which i'd be happy to demonstrate for you) & "It's a Frame up" connections club reward (ask me how to get your own set). I just love this stamp set.

This layout is from "Reflections", also using "Moon Doggie" level 2 paper pack, cranberry, indian corn blue & garden green ink, "it's a frame up" self adhesive rhinestone frame. I used ribbon from the Chocolate collection ribbon rounds, and the heart is from our new "HeartFelt Whimsy Die cuts". The pictures are of my 18 y/o daughter Ashley. She just finished her Freshman year of college and is now home for the summer. Check back soon for the 2nd page of this layout.

Welcome to our Close to my Heart Summer 2009 Idea Book Blog Hop! Almost 40 Close to my Heart Consultants are celebrating the upcoming release of the Summer 2009 Idea Book, which goes "live" May 1, by sharing their amazing creations using new products via their blogs. This is simple do to- just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Ready for a sneak peak at some new products?! Here we go!

Both cards are from the "Originals" Card Idea book. The first design is called Overview. Both cards features The Moon Doggie Paper pack (level 2) X7111B. Colors used are Cranberry, Desert Sand, Garden Green, & Indian Corn Blue.

I used the new stamp set Extreme Happiness C1356 & The sentiment is from D1187 for every occasion. After stamping the flower (using the 2nd generation Rock & Roll technique, page 23 of the summer 2009 idea book), it was cut out and adhered with 3D Foam Tape (Z1151) above a felt leaf that I stamped a leaf on using New England Ivy ink. The felt is from our new "Heartfelt Whimsy Die Cuts" Z1145 which is die cut felt and I LOVE it! I used Garden Green brads in the center of the small flowers, after coloring the centers with ablender pen & Garden Green Ink.

The next card design is "Heartfelt Classic" I used the May stamp of the month D1349 "Be Yourself" This stamp set is so much fun. Same colors & paper pack as above as above. I paper pieced the dress from patterned paper and used Prisma Glitter Z134 with the write n rub pen (1762) to accent the flowers on the dress 7 in the center of the flowers. Liquid glass Z679 (another one of my favorite products) was used to shine up her boots. The ribbon is from the ribbon rounds chocolate collection.

Alaska train ride layout

Well I actually got 6 pages scrapped this weekend. This layout I did for a CTMH "Imagine" layout challenge. The paper pack is called "Rustic Trail". It is retired, but it goes great with my Alaska Pictures. I have 4 more pages that I will try to post later on tonight.

I forgot about my blog ;(

How could I do that to you poor little blog? I promise to not be so neglegtful in the future. I will also take pics this wekend of my latest artwork and post some Alaska pages. I need to win the lottery so I can quit my dayjob and devote more time to crafting and blogging (and oh yeah, I'd exercise more too! he he )

I can't decide which ribbon I like better, black or white. I guess my club will have to decide and choose for themselves. I used Western Flourish (CTMH of course) stamps, Twilight and barn red ink with liquid glass over the barn red flourish on the chipboard flower. Paper is from the Sarsparilla collection.

Here is page 2 of the Hawaian sunset. I stamped on the back of the paper and then put the paper on top of the cushioned side of my versamat and traced the stamped image with my embossing stylus. I then sanded the image and voila!

I went to Hawaii last summer and it was fabulous. That is were my profile picture was taken too. On this layout I used CTMH textured cardstock in Autumn Terracotta, i distressed it and painted it and used paper from the Expedition paper pack. I will add page 2 as soon as I figure out how.

Just one more thing Ir eally need to do now is have a blog. I've been looking at so many others and think they are kind of cool so I figured I'd try it out. Now to figure out what to do with it.
